Greetings! My name is Liz Scott and I have been the Administrative Secretary at Hillside UMC since February 2021. I also took on the role of Financial Secretary in 2022. Both of these put my organizational skills and attention to detail to work! I also love the opportunity that my job allows for me to talk with and listen to those who walk through the Church's door. I never know what the Lord has in store for me when I start my workday, but I always trust He is present!

My husband James and I have been married for 18 years and have two children. Parker, 15, is a freshman at Hanover Horton and Evelyn, 13, is an 8th grader there. We own a family crop farm and raise a small herd of cattle. We also enjoy downhill skiing, boating, and camping together. In my free time, I am usually enjoying family and friends, my dog Maizey, involved in my Church, serving on community boards, exercising, cooking, gardening or reading.

Hello! My name is Shawn Hilts. I am the Custodian of Hillside United Methodist Church. I have worked here for almost four years. I have lived in the community for 32 years in which I raised my three girls. My job here brings me joy: even vacuuming up salt and bugs! If you see me in the Church, be sure to say hi.

My name is Jenna Strait, and I am an assistant in the Sunday school. I am a senior at Hanover Horton High School and I plan on going to college to become an elementary teacher. I’m currently in my second year in the Careers in Education class at the Jackson Area Career Center. I enjoy working with kids, and at the moment I volunteer four days a week in a kindergarten class.
